Polyspan Limited Buys AG Polytunnels

AG Polytunnels Logo

We at Polyspan are excited to announce that we have laid down some investment and purchased AG Polytunnels.

We would like to thank Allan for the opportunity to take over the running of the business and for all the hard work he has put into it over the past nine years and I'm sure we'll be dragging him to site for the odd local job.

Moving forward, nothing will change, you will barely notice the difference in how the companies are operated, the enquiry to delivery process will continue to be smooth and painless.

We bought AG Polytunnels due to its longstanding position in the market and because of its loyal customer base and strong roots in the beautiful countryside of South-West Wales and Herefordshire, delivering excellent customer service throughout the south east of England, Wales and further afield.

The business operations have moved to Lancashire, to Polyspan HQ, however the heart and soul of AG Polytunnels will always reside in the South East of the UK.

I look forward to your custom moving forward, and I’m excited to see what this opportunity can bring to both AG Polytunnels and Polyspan.

Winter Lambing Offer

Winter Lambing Offer

Don't forget about our winter offer!

We are discounting 20% off three sizes of structure;

18ft x 10m - £2165.38

24ft x 14m - £2992.92

30ft x 20m - £3961.34

This offer is available when ordered through December for January/February delivery.

Ensuring the health and well-being of your flock is a top priority when providing recommendations for the necessary housing structure. That's why we adhere to DEFRA guidelines to determine the appropriate space and accommodation for your flock.

However, it's important to note that these recommendations can be customized for each farmer and flock.

There are additional considerations to keep in mind when calculating your space requirements;

here are a couple of key points:

  • For winter-shorn sheep, space allowances may be reduced by 10%. It's essential, though, not to decrease the available trough space correspondingly.

  • To facilitate easy identification and observation during the lambing period, pregnant ewes should be grouped in numbers less than 50.

PVC Manufacture and Choosing the Right Supplier.

Here at Polyspan we only use the best quality PVC fabric from manufacturers in Europe. Our preferred supplier Lows of Dundee are a UK distributer of PVC cloth and netting at affordable prices. Using up to date CAD software we can design and manufacture a PVC sheet to your exacting needs and to suit your end goals. We have partnered up with a leading manufacturer of PVC sheets who only use HF welding to manufacture their finished products.

Choosing the Right Cloth:

We are asked about the different specifications and weights of the PVC we offer as well as the water resistance of our PVC over time.

We are one of a few suppliers un the UK who offer a low-wick PVC, Why is this important?

We employ low-wick PVC fabric, incorporating yarn treated with a primer to establish a hydrophobic barrier. This treatment effectively prevents liquid absorption at cut edges and in areas no longer protected by PVC. Each yarn is fully encapsulated with a water-repellent medium, ensuring the prevention of water ingress and therefore guaranteeing longevity of the base cloth deep within the sheet material.

Why is HF PVC Manufacture so important?

When it comes to joining PVC and PU materials, HF-welding stands out as the superior method. The resulting weld surpasses the strength achieved by other technologies like hot air, hot wedge, or impulse welding. Additionally, HF-welding produces airtight and waterproof seals.

Benefits of HF-welding include:

  1. Consistent and dependable technology

  2. Molecular level, perminant adhesion.

  3. Robust, long-lasting, and uniform welds

  4. Welds that are impervious to air, gas, and water

  5. Capability for multi-layer welding

  6. An eco-friendly choice
